DAVE THOMAS ADOPTION FOUNDATION  – Great site to find out various adoption information, to include “National Adoption Day”, “National Adoption Week”, and the now annual “Home for the Holidays” Adoption special airing on CBS.

National Adoption Information Clearinghouse- This site includes handy summaries of adoption laws, state by state; access to databases of experts, agencies and support groups; and a comprehensive list of child welfare agencies.

NJ ARCH – This stands for NJ Adoption Resource Clearing House. It is set up by the state and is a support for agencies, pre and post adoptive couples and birth parents.

North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) Founded by adoptive parents, the North American Council on Adoptable Children is committed to meeting the needs of waiting children and the families who adopt them. Lots of information on all types of resources for adoption.

AdoptNet– A wonderful site offering adoption related chat rooms, message centers, e-groups, etc. Live chats are hosted by adoption professionals.

Tapestry Books – A thorough source for adoption related books.

Adoptive Families Magazine – Magazine dealing with many topical matters adoptive families face. Subscription order available through their website.

U.S. State Department – Summaries of international adoption laws. INS requirements and processes. The Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office of Children’s Issues can provide information on International Adoption from almost any country.
